Steam Will Make Me Go Broke

During the winter holidays of 2009, Steam began to have great deals on a lot of their titles, and it really caught my attention.  As I was making decent money at my employment, I had some extra money to spend, so I began to splurge on some games.  I started off big and bought into the Square Enix pack because it had Batman Arkham Asylum, The Rockstar pack which gave me Grand Theft Auto 4, Bully, and a few other games, The Unreal Pack so I could have a legit copy of Unreal Tournament 2004 and Unreal 3 Black, and loaded up in independent games.

In 2010 Steam began to have more great deals on games, but I concentrated on the independent games a little more to enjoy their fun.  I purchased games like Braid, Zombie Driver, and Shatter just to name a few.  They were all fun and well worth the few dollars I had spent on them.  We now reach the pinnacle of the Summer of 2011 and Steam is at it again.

With great deals lasting until July 10th like The Rockstar Pack ($40 for all Grand Thefts, Bully, Manhunt, and Max Payne), the Id Super Pack which has 20 Id software games like HeXen an DOOM, The 2K pack which has Borderlands (well worth it at any price), and many others.  As well as every day they have great prices for games including 33% off the Sega catalog.

If that wasn't good enough, they also have daily deals like today Black Ops is 33% off, you can purchase Braid for $2.49 **I suggest puraching it now, but it's worth the $9.99 it normally costs**, Call of Duty Black Ops is 33% off, and Just Cause 2 is $4.99 **Note, Just Cause 2 only supports video cards with DX10, and requires Vista/7 to work.

Check back here for updates for the next week, as I will be mentioning all the great deals I see, or go to http://store.steampowered.com/ for more!

Brewsday Chat For 6-29-2011 Interview With Eric 'Kek' Collins

I was able to chat with Kek this past Wednesday morning and got his opinion on the upcoming QuakeCON, how he started in video games, and what he looks to accomplish at his first QuakeCON ever in Quake Live.
